Creativity overview

 Creativity: Overview and genius.

Demonstrable evidence of creativity based on original productivity (Evidence of significant creative achievement)

Achievements in each of the following categories:

(maximum 250 points in any category)

It is said that with five degrees of creativity (intuitive level, technical level, inventive level, innovative level, genius level) the three first are accessible to anyone, whereas the two last only are attainable for the highly gifted creatively/naturally creative geniuses.

There are special qualities of creative genius namely:

a. high levels of convergent thinking (conventionally translated into exceptional measurable intelligence).

b. the intuitive, inventive, innovative spark (lighting one's own fire involving both the zeal to do so and the divergent, more difficult to measure creative element).
c. the ability to kindle that spark into a raging fire (maintained skill, persistence) and

d. the conversion of the raging controlled fire through a worthwhile mold (this implies that the creative advance have application or be translated into achievement; it is sometimes difficult to interpret because at times it may be 10 or 20 years ahead of the times —you read with my father, he was six decades ahead with his gasoline-alcohol mixture!)

1. GENIUS PRODIGIES: Those who exhibited a creative streak that is not achievable even in adulthood by even the trained individual. e.g. musical composition, the mathematical mental multiplication technique I developed and used, or certain chess skills (these are generally the three classical categories; art, for example, is more difficult to measure, but should be a category). These are the geniuses.

2. EXCEPTIONAL PRODIGIES: Those who exhibited profoundly advanced milestones e.g. the kid who was able to name and identify hundreds of world geographic details at a very young age.

#1 appears far more rare than #2. Invariably #2 also includes elements of #1.

3. POLYMATHS: This may be the third group. That group is the Polymath. Polymaths are more diverse than one different direction and can demonstrate creative genius or profound skills in more than one domain or discipline. These may be easier to measure than #1 and #2 but need to be re-evaluated on the basis of achievement in adulthood. We currently do not know whether all polymaths are also geniuses or are just exceptional.
